The pupil premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
Theschool received the following funding for each child registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years: £1,320 for pupils in reception year to year 6.
Schools receive PE and sport premium funding based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6. Most schools with primary-age pupils receive the PE and sport premium in the academic year 2016 - 2017.
Schools with 16 or fewer eligible pupils receive £500 per pupil. Schools with 17 or more eligible pupils receive £8,000 and an additional payment of £5 per pupil.
Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer.
This means that you should use the premium to:
develop or add to the PE and sport activities that the school already offers
make improvements now that will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.
